We often have horses onsite for sale and can schedule times for riders to tryout
new prospects. Shawnee can act as a buyer's/seller's agent in addition to
evaluating horses for general use or specific disciplines.
We also have horses available for lease. Leasing can provide an intermediate step for
those considering a horse purchase. A lease provides an opportunity to discover all
of the work and expenses related to horse-ownership without making a long-term commitment.
We encourage all individuals (especially parents) considering becoming a new horse-owner
to consider leasing as an option. Full- and part-time leases are available on specific horses;
not all horses are available for lease.
Outdoor boarding facilities are available with hay included for the listed price. If the owner provides the hay, the price will be reduced. If hay other than what we normally feed is required, there may be an additional charge. If additional feed (grain, supplements, etc.) is required, the owner may provide those or incur additional charges. Feeding is done twice a day (morning and evening) and water is provided at all times.
Owners are welcome to visit their horses at anytime. If visiting outside of "normal business" hours (6:00 AM - 8:00 PM) please call and let us know you will be there. A written boarding agreement is available that provides further details about vaccines, farrier and veterinarian visits and other requirements or expectations. Space is limited and may not always be available.
All horses boarding at Willowmere Farm Arabians must be current on vaccines and deworming, and stay on the same vaccine & deworming program as the farm horses.
Breeding services are available from Arabian stallions Sir Galahadd and L Nino ("Storm"). We can also provide assistance in live-cover, in-hand breeding for your horses. Please talk with us about stud and breeding service fees.
